Ocelot Chat

Use Ocelot to inspect servers, prepare changes, and run approved actions from a chat interface.

What Ocelot is for

Ocelot is the chat workspace inside EnderDash. You can use it against:

  • a specific server
  • the organization as a whole, depending on the task

Why people use it

It is useful when you want to ask for something in plain language instead of jumping through several panels by hand.

Common tasks

Inspect

Read console output, summarize errors, and check server state before changing anything.

Act

Run approved commands, update files, and handle workflow tasks through the tools you enabled.

Remember

Attach notes and findings to the workspace so they remain available later.

Examples of what it can help with

  • reading console output and summarizing errors
  • running console commands
  • finding, reading, and updating files
  • checking player state and player history
  • working with LuckPerms data
  • searching plugin catalogs and installing updates
  • inspecting events, databases, shell access, processes, containers, and services
  • saving notes that should stay attached to the workspace

Safety model

Permission and confirmation model

Ocelot is not supposed to have unlimited authority by default.

  • Tool access is controlled from Ocelot Settings.
  • High-impact actions can require confirmation before they run.
  • Emergency Stop can block all Ocelot activity for the workspace immediately.

YOLO Mode removes important guardrails

Treat YOLO Mode as a deliberate break-glass choice, not the normal way to run Ocelot.

Prompting tips

Write requests like an operator

  • Pick the target server first if the task is server-specific.
  • Ask Ocelot to inspect before you ask it to change something.
  • Keep the request concrete. "Find the last error in console" works better than "see what is wrong."
  • If you want to know what Ocelot is allowed to touch, open Ocelot Settings.

Example prompts

  • "Show me the last 100 console lines with errors only"
  • "Find every file that mentions 25565"
  • "What changed in the plugin folder after the last restart?"
  • "Check whether the server is falling behind on TPS"
  • "Show me the LuckPerms nodes for the moderator group"
