Invite people and grant server access

Add a team member, assign the right role, and verify their server access.

Before you begin

An owner or admin manages invitations and server grants. Check the organization's membership limit and plan features before adding people.

Organization membership and server access are separate. Members need explicit grants for the servers they use. Owners and admins have elevated organization access.

Invite a member

  1. Select the correct organization and open People.
  2. Use the invitation control and enter the person's email.
  3. Choose the role they need. Use member for assigned-server work.
  4. Send the invitation.
  5. Check the invitations list until the person accepts with their EnderDash account.

Invitation acceptance requires email verification. If it is still pending, confirm the recipient used the intended email and check the pending invitation before sending another.

Give access to the intended servers

After acceptance, scroll to Access Control on People. Create a grant for the member with the intended server target, actions, scope, and limits. Follow scoped access grants for the complete procedure.

Ask the member to reopen Servers and confirm the intended records appear. Have them open a live panel on one assigned server. Do not ask them to test access with a destructive operation.

Revoke access

Remove the server grant when someone no longer needs that runtime. Remove their membership when they no longer belong to the team. Check both the role and the remaining grants when investigating unexpected access.

Troubleshoot a missing server

  • Invitation pending: the person has not joined yet.
  • Wrong organization: switch to the organization that owns the record.
  • No server grant: assign the member to that server.
  • Frozen server: resolve the organization server limit.
  • Organization features unavailable: check the team-collaboration plan requirement for members.

See the access model for exact boundaries. Next: review the audit log.
